RBDNA March 2015 Training Center Updates

February was another great month for RBDNA!

Fayetteville, AR House ChurchPastor Greg Downs of Fayetteville, AR shares that their initial House Church is progressing very successfully with a consistent attendance of eight students! This group is being led by one of the recent new converts of the church! RBD is working!

New Life Tabernacle of Arab, AL is working through Course 1B, as well as being heavily involved in evangelism, as they work toward their upcoming Holy Ghost Rally. They are currently holding a Bible Study Blitz and it is paying dividends since they had three baptized and four receive the Holy Ghost in February!

Pastor Greg Davis of DeKalb, IL reports that their initial team is nearing graduation from Course 2, as their second cycle students are in Course 1B. They are planning to start at least four House Churches in the upcoming weeks. The church has recently concluded 10,000 minutes of prayer!. All of this has resulted in the church experiencing 19 consecutive months of growth! REVIVAL is happening in DeKalb!

Our recently-launched Training Center in Montgomery, AL has begun Course 1A training with their initial team. They are working toward an evangelism period in July and August with a Holy Ghost Rally tentatively planned for late August.

Sickness and extreme weather complicated efforts in Conway, AR during February. Pastor Bryan Shock shares that in spite of the circumstances, their three House Churches had a cumulative average of 21 students in attendance. In addition to this, they have several getting ready to move into Course 1B training and also have a recently graduated House Church couple preparing to launch their own House Church! They also report that one received the infilling of the Holy Ghost this past month.

Last, but certainly not least, is the report from Turning Point Apostolic in Ellettsville, IN. This church recently launched their first group into Course 3 training! They followed up the wonderful report of January with three baptisms and two receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost! This is leading up to the planned launch of a new round of House Churches in the weeks to come.

On a personal note for February, we were honored to be a part of the initial training and launch of two new RBDNA Training Centers. In early February, we were with Pastor Doug Ellingsworth and the wonderful church family of Finley UPC in Finley, TN. We ended the month with Pastor James Gregory and the team from Christ Apostolic Sanctuary in Desoto, MO. The latter meeting was held during a Winter Storm Warning that dumped eight inches of new snow. Following the conclusion of our seminar, Pastor Gregory slipped on the snow-slickened pavement, resulting in a fracture to his arm. While in the ER however, he did secure a new Bible Study with one of the health care workers attending to him. RBD causes you to always look for an open door!

Yours for the cause of pursuing HIS will! REVIVAL will not happen by accident…it WILL come by DESIGN…

RBDNA December 2013 Training Center Updates

DWhile December is often a time of pause for many ministries, it continued to be fast-paced for RBDNA!

We were privileged to travel to West Bridgewater, MA in December to hold an RBDNA Training Seminar. We not only enjoyed training a core group of leaders West Bridgewater Baptismof the church pastored by Bro. James A. & Sis. Carolann Parker, but also had at least two other churches represented during this training. God is positioning this church to move forward with a strategic growth plan that will result in taking dominion over the territory that God has called them to take. The energy and excitement of this team was refreshing and we look forward to sharing many great reports from them over the upcoming months!

We were blessed to be able to follow up and minister to the church on Sunday morning, even though Mother Nature threw us a weather punch. At least six inches of snow fell overnight, but temps did warm up as dawn approached, turning the snow into a quagmire of slush. This did impact the crowd, but the presence of God was with us in a marvelous way! We thank Him for His protection upon us as we traveled over 2,000 miles during a time of uncertain weather!

Pastor Mike Schmelzer, Winona, MN, shares that they continue to see first-time guests in their services every Sunday. While they are still completing some of their initial training, God is responding to their fervor and desire by opening doors for new contacts and Bible Studies to be accomplished ! They are currently holding two different House Church meetings each week!

McCormick’s Creek UPC, in Spencer, IN, is continuing to train new disciples in their House Church and will be launching the team into Course 2 training this month. One of the attendees in the House Church is being trained via Skype! There are creative ways necessary sometimes to build the Kingdom of God!

Ottawa Lighthouse Church in Ottawa, IL reports that they are seeing their team challenged as they proceed through Course 1A training. Pastor Glenn Townsell shares that there is great expectation for what the new year will hold for the Church as they move forward into revival.

Pastor Randall Pitts in Duncan, OK shares that they will launch a group into Discipleship Training this month as they prepare them to move into RBD training later this year.

The Sharp’s, in Del City, OK, share that dozens have experienced the infilling of the Holy Ghost this year! They will be launching a new team effort into Course 1A shortly, as they continue to impact their territory.

In DeKalb, IL, Pastor Greg Davis reports that following a tremendous Holy Ghost Rally in early December, they are now finalizing preparations to launch five House Churches in Discipleship Training! They also reported that at least six notable miracles were reported from their rally.

Crossroads Apostolic Church in White Plains, MD is seeing great results as they progress in their initial training. Pastor Curtis Eaby shares that they currently have two House Churches training their new disciples, with the possibility of establishing two additional groups in the very near future. The church team is already putting into practice the concepts and principles that they are learning through the Course 1A training and are seeing significant results in their services!

Pastor Tim Pickard in Toronto, Ontario reports that over the past two months they have had 15 people in active Bible Studies. Evangelism efforts continue on a regular basis to prepare the Church for the next phase of growth. There have also been six people baptized, and one received the Holy Ghost, during this time.

Our recently launched Training Center in Orillia, Ontario shares that they are wrapping up Course 1A training at this point. God has miraculously opened many doorsOrillia Ontario Full Sign for new contacts already during initial training phase. As a confirmation of God’s favor on this church plant, they were recently given permission to erect their own permanent sign along the street of the church they are currently renting! Look out Orillia, when this team launches into evangelism in March!

The RBDNA Training Center in Lindsay, OK reports that as they have begun the launch process in their church that God is already opening doors! Pastor Scott Wilbourn shares that they have recently welcomed two new families to the church! In addition, a young couple that they had lost contact with nearly two years ago, recently reconnected and they are now being taught a Bible Study! How exciting Revival is!

Finally, our Training Center in Ellettsville, IN experienced the harsh results of a flood recently. This has resulted in extensive damage to the Educational area of the church building, along with the fellowship hall. A significant portion of the parking lot was substantially damaged as well. This resulted in the church being forced to cancel its schedule of services the Sunday before Christmas. When the doors were reopened for service on the last Sunday of the year, the sanctuary was nearly packed to capacity as an awesome presence of the Holy Ghost filled the building. During worship service that morning, the mother of a young man made her way to the altar where God wonderfully refilled her with the Holy Ghost! They had one other baptized and another filled with the Holy Ghost this past month. Try as he might…the devil cannot stop a genuine move of REVIVAL! Please keep Pastor Ron Hawkins and Turning Point Apostolic Church in your prayers as they deal with the realities of clean-up and restoration.

We give God great praise for these reports! We stand on the brink of an Apostolic outpouring as we continue to spread the Gospel and make disciples! We encourage you to share these reports with others in order that the Kingdom would be glorified!

October RBD North America Update

October brought more reports of exciting things happening in our RBDNA Training Centers.

Shortly after our return from Latvia, we were honored to be able to attend a unique evangelism effort by McCormick’s Creek UPC in Spencer, IN. A very talented group of members from this church performed a dramatic presentation of “The Conversion of Cornelius”, which was actually written and directed by a member of the church. As a step of faith, the church rented the facilities of a recently renovated old-time theater, which has a seating capacity of 250-300 people. Nearly all the seats were filled that night, with at least 100 being guests. There was a tremendous presence of the Holy Ghost as the account from Acts chapter 10 was brought to life. While the full impact of this event has yet to be realized, there was one that received the baptism of the Holy Ghost during the altar portion of this service! If you are looking for a unique way to reach guests, I would highly recommend this production.Howell, MI has moved forward into Evangelism efforts, as well as Course 1B training, with focus on two particular areas. Excitement and anticipation are running high! The RBDNA Training Center in Winona, MN is still experiencing many new guests as they begin the implementation of RBD there. They are quickly realizing the need for a new building and are asking for all who can to join with them in prayer for God to provide in this need.Pastor Greg Davis, in DeKalb, IL, shares that great things continue to happen as they move forward with RBD implementation. They have just completed their time of prayer walks and fasting and are now involved in evangelism. They have baptized at least five, and report two filled with the Holy Ghost since early September. They are looking forward to beginning house churches in several areas after the first of the year!

Catoosa, OK continues to experience steady revival. Pastor Dougherty shares that they had one baptized last month.

Pastor Bryan Shock in Conway, AR reports that their first House Church is preparing now to transition into RBD Course 1 training. We look forward to hearing more great reports as a new round of evangelism will soon be launched into that city!

Turning Point Apostolic Church in Ellettsville, IN is seeing a solidifying of their two House Church groups. Since these two groups were started several weeks ago, both of them have added new members. There is a high level of the presence of God being felt in the Hall Church services as well.

First UPC of Toronto recently concluded their WorldView Missions Conference. This annual event is always a tremendous boost for the local church as well as Missionaries who are able to be a part. This year proved to go beyond the norm as there were 28 people who were filled with the Holy Ghost! This event caps a long list of miracles that God has done in this local assembly of the past several months!

These are just a few of the reports that I have received over the past few weeks. Please help us to encourage our community of RBD Training Centers by sharing what is happening in your church!

The Upper Room…Not A Destination

On the day that the Church was born, Peter shares with us in Acts chapter two the account of the events that transpired that day. Verse one tells us that when the Day of Pentecost came, they were all gathered together in one place, the Upper Room. In previous reading we find that there was a group of 120 gathered there that day. Suddenly, there came a sound like the blowing of a violent wind from heaven that filled the entire room. They saw what appeared to be like tongues of fire and it came to rest upon every one of them. And all of them were filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in other tongues as they were enabled by the Spirit.

The Upper Room

We live in a society which has become extremely self-focused. The mantra is rapidly becoming prominent that the only person that matters is “Número Uno”! Social media has actually helped to degrade our personal interaction. It is easy to slip into a mode of selfishness where we lose sight of what we can do to help and minister to others. We see this in the parable of the Good Samaritan. Those who were expected to help made excuses as to why they could not or would not help the injured man. Yet the one who was notorious for their unwillingness to express love to their fellow man, was the one who stopped and sacrificed to help him.

Imagine if those 120 that morning had embraced this mindset! What if they had stayed within the four walls of the Upper Room to just bask in this wonderful experience that had just taken place? What if they would have chosen to just take the attitude that, “I am worthy of this blessing since God chose to pour it out on me and not someone else?”

But what we quickly see is that these 120 newly-filled with the Holy Ghost, quickly moved forward to emulate the Great Commission. They went out into their world, and began to share their experience and what had just happened to them! They entered that room as fearful followers of a leader who was no longer with them. They left that room as emboldened and empowered soldiers ready to share the Gospel of a risen Savior with the entire world! And they began at Jerusalem, just as Jesus had told them they would do before He ascended to Heaven.

So they leave the safe confines of the Upper Room and go out to begin their ministry and the results are astounding…they experienced a 3,000 soul revival that first day!

Mark 16:15It is imperative that we mobilize and empower the Church in this day to not keep our experience confined to ourselves, but to get it out into the world in which we live. We are the Body, and God will use His Body to reach the world!

Pastor, Revival By Design is a blueprint that will absolutely help you to train, equip and energize your congregation to get outside the four walls of the Church and move into the harvest field as strategic soldiers with a renewed hunger for evangelism. It will also assist you in developing a church structure that is suited to accommodate the mighty harvest that God desires to give! Please contact us for more information on how you can see this, and more, happen in your church!

Pour On The Salt…Turn On The Light

Many of you have heard me proclaim that Jesus did not save you just to save you. Had His only reason for saving you been just to save you, I feel strongly that He would have taken you out of this world as soon as your salvation was secured.  So with that in mind, there must be a greater purpose to our salvation. We only need to peruse the purpose statement of Christ, and subsequently the Church, to understand this.

“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10) and to the Church He further clarifies in Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing…teaching…” The purpose of the Church in the 21st Century is still exactly the same as it was in the First Century church… to take this Gospel into a lost, hurting, hungry and dying world.

salt and lightIn Matthew 5, Jesus says that we are salt and light. All of us understand that it only takes sprinkling a little bit of salt onto our food in order to completely change its taste. It is also understood through science that light ALWAYS overpowers darkness! We can stand in a vast building, completely shrouded in the depths of darkness, and the smallest source of light can dispel the darkness. So we understand here that Christ is instructing us that no matter how trivial or insignificant that we might think we are, through Christ, we have the immense power to make an incredible impact upon our surroundings.

But verse 15 paints a picture of where we find entirely too many saints today. He says that men don’t light a candle and then put that light under a basket…they put it up on a stand so that it can serve the intended purpose…to provide light in the darkness.

In the 21st Century we have too many people who undoubtedly love God immensely. However, they have lost sight of their purpose. We come into our church service, and as we enter the doors, we remove the basket from our light and proceed to worship God along with all of our fellow believers. We have become very comfortable sharing our light with others in the church who are sharing their light with us as well. But when the dismissal prayer is concluded, we pick up our basket, and carefully place it over our light to guard it against the worldly elements that would try to put our light out. But outside the four walls of the Church is exactly where our light needs to be exposed! Sharing light in a place where it is already prominent is not what God had intended…He tells us to let it shine in the darkness!

basket

In verse 16 Christ admonishes us that we are to let our light shine to others. This allows us to be a testimony to them of the good things that God has accomplished in us and through us. And this brings glory to Him! The only way we can fulfill the charge of Matthew 28 is by accomplishing the instructions of Matthew 5! As the world is which we live grows darker each day, there has never been a greater time for the Church to be putting its light where it can make a difference.

Our relationship with Christ was never meant to be confined to our private life… You are the light of the world…the salt of the earth. Go and make a difference today!
