RBDNA April 2014 Monthly Training Center Update

North America Report…

April was a month marked by getting many of our RBDNA Training Centers moving forward. We had several Training Centers that launched Evangelism this month as they geared toward their upcoming Holy Ghost Rallies. Several have already reported that God is opening amazing doors even before they have begun this phase. God always responds to our sincere desires to reach the lost!Of course April was also marked by the Easter season. Like most other churches, many of our RBDNA Centers reported record attendance for Easter Sunday. However, this year a more concerted effort is being made to stay connected to those guests who made it a point to join them in worship. As a pastor, it will be great to recall the crowd from Easter and realize that will soon be the normal as the Church takes dominion in its territory!

Pastor Ron Hawkins in Ellettsville, IN, reports that due to renewed interest in RBD, they have launched a new group into Course 1A in an effort that has been tagged as“The Surge”! They have a goal of a late summer Holy Ghost Rally. They are also continuing to see spiritual growth in their new converts.

Our Monroe, OR Training Center states that they are averaging nearly 65 in weekly church attendance as they move toward a June 8 Holy Ghost Rally. In addition, as a result of RBD, they are looking to “relaunch” a Daughter Work that has been dormant for some time.

Pastor McNeely of Allen, OK, is excited to announce that they have launched the Church into Course 1A training!

McCormick’s Creek UPC continues to be very active in RBD training and results are happening. They have had five baptisms and six received the Holy Ghost so far this year! In addition to Discipleship and Course 2 training, they are focusing on strengthening their RBD Structure.

As our Center in Mendota, IL prepared to launch into evangelism in early April, Pastor Yeakel shared that they had gone seven consecutive Sundays with seeing someone either baptized or filled with the Holy Ghost! As a result of this, they have recently launched their first House Church. More great reports to follow as they prepare for their Holy Ghost Rally on June 8.

Pastor Parker in West Bridgewater, MA, shares that they continue to focus on Course 1A training. They report that so far this year they have baptized four and had four filled with the Holy Ghost. While this has been going on, Sister Parker shares a miracle of healing that took place in her body as some very serious blood clots simply dissolved! To God be the glory!

Our LaSalle/Peru, IL Training Center has begun Course 1A training with 13 students! They have had two receive the Holy Ghost in recent weeks also. We look forward to sharing a mighty miracle that God has provided for this church soon!

In Howell, MI they are preparing to relaunch their Course 1A group. Part of this will focus on moving evangelism into a new city that God is opening to them. They currently are operating one House Church with plans to launch a second one in May, as they recently had six filled with the Holy Ghost in a five week period. They also will be holding a Holy Ghost rally on June 8.

Pastor Ryan Kidder in North Little Rock, AR reports that their team is transitioning from Course 1A training and moving into Evangelism as they focus on their June 8 Holy Ghost Rally. This church will also be launching a House Church in early May to begin the discipleship process for some of the recent converts God has blessed them with. The Kidder’s are personally doing their part for church growth as they welcomed Rayland Rae Kidder into the world! Congratulations to the Kidder family.

Our DeKalb, IL Training Center shares that they are currently operating six House Churches with an average attendance of 41 weekly! They are continuing to see new souls baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost during this phase. The Sunday following Easter, they baptized two and had 203 in attendance, which surpassed their Easter attendance! Mighty Revival is happening in DeKalb!

Yours for the cause of pursuing HIS will! REVIVAL will not happen by accident…it WILL come by DESIGN…

RBDNA December 2013 Training Center Updates

DWhile December is often a time of pause for many ministries, it continued to be fast-paced for RBDNA!

We were privileged to travel to West Bridgewater, MA in December to hold an RBDNA Training Seminar. We not only enjoyed training a core group of leaders West Bridgewater Baptismof the church pastored by Bro. James A. & Sis. Carolann Parker, but also had at least two other churches represented during this training. God is positioning this church to move forward with a strategic growth plan that will result in taking dominion over the territory that God has called them to take. The energy and excitement of this team was refreshing and we look forward to sharing many great reports from them over the upcoming months!

We were blessed to be able to follow up and minister to the church on Sunday morning, even though Mother Nature threw us a weather punch. At least six inches of snow fell overnight, but temps did warm up as dawn approached, turning the snow into a quagmire of slush. This did impact the crowd, but the presence of God was with us in a marvelous way! We thank Him for His protection upon us as we traveled over 2,000 miles during a time of uncertain weather!

Pastor Mike Schmelzer, Winona, MN, shares that they continue to see first-time guests in their services every Sunday. While they are still completing some of their initial training, God is responding to their fervor and desire by opening doors for new contacts and Bible Studies to be accomplished ! They are currently holding two different House Church meetings each week!

McCormick’s Creek UPC, in Spencer, IN, is continuing to train new disciples in their House Church and will be launching the team into Course 2 training this month. One of the attendees in the House Church is being trained via Skype! There are creative ways necessary sometimes to build the Kingdom of God!

Ottawa Lighthouse Church in Ottawa, IL reports that they are seeing their team challenged as they proceed through Course 1A training. Pastor Glenn Townsell shares that there is great expectation for what the new year will hold for the Church as they move forward into revival.

Pastor Randall Pitts in Duncan, OK shares that they will launch a group into Discipleship Training this month as they prepare them to move into RBD training later this year.

The Sharp’s, in Del City, OK, share that dozens have experienced the infilling of the Holy Ghost this year! They will be launching a new team effort into Course 1A shortly, as they continue to impact their territory.

In DeKalb, IL, Pastor Greg Davis reports that following a tremendous Holy Ghost Rally in early December, they are now finalizing preparations to launch five House Churches in Discipleship Training! They also reported that at least six notable miracles were reported from their rally.

Crossroads Apostolic Church in White Plains, MD is seeing great results as they progress in their initial training. Pastor Curtis Eaby shares that they currently have two House Churches training their new disciples, with the possibility of establishing two additional groups in the very near future. The church team is already putting into practice the concepts and principles that they are learning through the Course 1A training and are seeing significant results in their services!

Pastor Tim Pickard in Toronto, Ontario reports that over the past two months they have had 15 people in active Bible Studies. Evangelism efforts continue on a regular basis to prepare the Church for the next phase of growth. There have also been six people baptized, and one received the Holy Ghost, during this time.

Our recently launched Training Center in Orillia, Ontario shares that they are wrapping up Course 1A training at this point. God has miraculously opened many doorsOrillia Ontario Full Sign for new contacts already during initial training phase. As a confirmation of God’s favor on this church plant, they were recently given permission to erect their own permanent sign along the street of the church they are currently renting! Look out Orillia, when this team launches into evangelism in March!

The RBDNA Training Center in Lindsay, OK reports that as they have begun the launch process in their church that God is already opening doors! Pastor Scott Wilbourn shares that they have recently welcomed two new families to the church! In addition, a young couple that they had lost contact with nearly two years ago, recently reconnected and they are now being taught a Bible Study! How exciting Revival is!

Finally, our Training Center in Ellettsville, IN experienced the harsh results of a flood recently. This has resulted in extensive damage to the Educational area of the church building, along with the fellowship hall. A significant portion of the parking lot was substantially damaged as well. This resulted in the church being forced to cancel its schedule of services the Sunday before Christmas. When the doors were reopened for service on the last Sunday of the year, the sanctuary was nearly packed to capacity as an awesome presence of the Holy Ghost filled the building. During worship service that morning, the mother of a young man made her way to the altar where God wonderfully refilled her with the Holy Ghost! They had one other baptized and another filled with the Holy Ghost this past month. Try as he might…the devil cannot stop a genuine move of REVIVAL! Please keep Pastor Ron Hawkins and Turning Point Apostolic Church in your prayers as they deal with the realities of clean-up and restoration.

We give God great praise for these reports! We stand on the brink of an Apostolic outpouring as we continue to spread the Gospel and make disciples! We encourage you to share these reports with others in order that the Kingdom would be glorified!

RBDNA November 2013 Training Center Updates

The month of November continued to show that Revival is not something to hope for, but is attainable through a plan and practice.

In the middle of the month, we were privileged to spend some extended time in Ontario, Canada. The first week we did some follow up leadership training and took part in several ministry opportunities with our RBD Training Center in Toronto, pastored by Timothy Pickard. Still basking from the Holy Ghost outpouring in late October, this church is now in the process of working to disciple these new ones, as well as refocusing efforts on continued evangelism and outreach. One of the Sectional Coordinators shared that they had a follow-up meeting for dinner with a young lady they had taught a Home Bible Study. During their meal, the young lady boldly announced that she needed to be baptized! After quickly settling the bill, all three of them went directly to the church where they baptized her! This shows the importance of continued connections even after the completion of the HBS!

From there we traveled a little further north to Orillia, Ontario. Here we took part in the initial training of the leadership team of Orillia Pentecostal Church, pastored by Bro. John Kerr. This team is very excited about utilizing the potential of RBD to begin making inroads into the city that God has called them to. On Sunday, following our opportunity to minister, we commissioned Bro. & Sis. Kerr, as well as Bro. & Sis. Justin Pollard, who are working with them to go into the field, spread the Gospel and make disciples! Already they are sharing reports of doors that are opening to make new contacts, even while they are continuing their Course 1A training. God is doing great things in Orillia.

Pastor Curtis Eaby shares that they have one House Church underway and are presently establishing a group of new converts in their relationship with Jesus Christ. In addition, they baptized two and had one receive the Holy Ghost this past month. Course 1A training continues with a cycle of evangelism that is planning to launch after the first of the year.

Pastor Scott Wilbourn of Lindsay, OK is launching their first cycle of training this month! We are looking forward to what God is doing in this congregation!

Our Spencer, IN Training Center is preparing to start an additional House Church shortly. Their current House Church is training eight members, with one of those attending via skype! Makes me think of the old saying that where there is a will…there is a way! They have baptized one and had two receive the Holy Ghost and  continue to see consistent walk-in guests in their services as a result of their outreach effort in October. They will initiate Course 2 training this month.

Pastor Willie Thornton of Pine Bluff, AR, reports that they are still seeing visitors coming into their regular services. They are working to transform these guests into connections as they work to get them involved in Bible Studies.

Turning Point Apostolic Church in Ellettsville, IN continues to see mighty things happening. In early November, they hosted the Indiana Bible College Chorale. This resulted in an overflow crowd, where numerous miracles were claimed! In addition, miracle reports have been shared in almost every service this month, as well as baptisms that have taken place. The depth of spiritual impact upon this church is still amazing. Their two House Churches are still continuing to establish recent new converts.

Pastor Mike Schmelzer in Winona, MN shares some exciting news as they continue their Course 1A training of their team of ten. Since their decision to implement RBD, they have seen God open many doors, as well as send them several new walk-in guests. During this time, their attendance has more than doubled! They have started one House Church to disciple new converts, with the possibility of starting another very soon. They had two receive the Holy Ghost this past month. In addition to the discipleship training, they have Bible Studies taking place on Monday and Wednesday evenings.

Finally, this month we share a great report from Pastor Greg Davis in DeKalb, IL. They have had 18 in attendance as they near completion of Course 1B. He reports that here have been 47 involved in Bible Studies! This past month saw six baptized and three receive the Holy Ghost! They held introductory meetings for a “Meet & Greet” session in five locations that will serve as House Church locations after the first of the year. Since August, Bro. Davis shares that their average Sunday attendance has grown by 20%. Beyond that, they are seeing a 36% increase in other regular services which show that those who were just attending on Sundays are now beginning to take part in the other services as well. We ask that you join the DeKalb church in prayer for their Miracle Crusade service which will be held this Friday, December 6 in which they are looking for a mighty Holy Ghost outpouring!

We give God great praise for these reports! We stand on the brink of an Apostolic outpouring as we continue to spread the Gospel and make disciples! We encourage you to share these reports with others in order that the Kingdom would be glorified!

October RBD North America Update

October brought more reports of exciting things happening in our RBDNA Training Centers.

Shortly after our return from Latvia, we were honored to be able to attend a unique evangelism effort by McCormick’s Creek UPC in Spencer, IN. A very talented group of members from this church performed a dramatic presentation of “The Conversion of Cornelius”, which was actually written and directed by a member of the church. As a step of faith, the church rented the facilities of a recently renovated old-time theater, which has a seating capacity of 250-300 people. Nearly all the seats were filled that night, with at least 100 being guests. There was a tremendous presence of the Holy Ghost as the account from Acts chapter 10 was brought to life. While the full impact of this event has yet to be realized, there was one that received the baptism of the Holy Ghost during the altar portion of this service! If you are looking for a unique way to reach guests, I would highly recommend this production.Howell, MI has moved forward into Evangelism efforts, as well as Course 1B training, with focus on two particular areas. Excitement and anticipation are running high! The RBDNA Training Center in Winona, MN is still experiencing many new guests as they begin the implementation of RBD there. They are quickly realizing the need for a new building and are asking for all who can to join with them in prayer for God to provide in this need.Pastor Greg Davis, in DeKalb, IL, shares that great things continue to happen as they move forward with RBD implementation. They have just completed their time of prayer walks and fasting and are now involved in evangelism. They have baptized at least five, and report two filled with the Holy Ghost since early September. They are looking forward to beginning house churches in several areas after the first of the year!

Catoosa, OK continues to experience steady revival. Pastor Dougherty shares that they had one baptized last month.

Pastor Bryan Shock in Conway, AR reports that their first House Church is preparing now to transition into RBD Course 1 training. We look forward to hearing more great reports as a new round of evangelism will soon be launched into that city!

Turning Point Apostolic Church in Ellettsville, IN is seeing a solidifying of their two House Church groups. Since these two groups were started several weeks ago, both of them have added new members. There is a high level of the presence of God being felt in the Hall Church services as well.

First UPC of Toronto recently concluded their WorldView Missions Conference. This annual event is always a tremendous boost for the local church as well as Missionaries who are able to be a part. This year proved to go beyond the norm as there were 28 people who were filled with the Holy Ghost! This event caps a long list of miracles that God has done in this local assembly of the past several months!

These are just a few of the reports that I have received over the past few weeks. Please help us to encourage our community of RBD Training Centers by sharing what is happening in your church!

Looking For Another Me

We are honored to have a guest author filling this space. Pastor Adam Hill serves as the Associate Pastor at McCormick’s Creek UPC in Spencer, IN. Pastor Hill preached this message just as the church was launching into RBD earlier this year.

apostle_paulSometime ago God dealt with me about a message for our home church. He directed me to the 14th chapter of Acts in which Paul was stoned and drug outside the city of Lystra for preaching the Gospel. To be stoned with rocks would be painful and grueling to say the least, but this is what Paul had to endure. To me, one of the hardest things about ministry is when I give of myself and then also have to experience the pain and rejection. It’s discouraging to put your life on the line because you genuinely care, then to realize the one you gave to just pushes you away. Some historians believe that Paul died from being stoned; some believe otherwise. It bewilders me that the people from Lystra stoned him in Acts 14:19, and two verses later Paul finds himself back in Lystra ministering to the very ones that tried to kill him.

What drives someone to do that? Where would one find the courage to walk back into that sort of pain? How much would a person have to love humanity in order to position themselves a second time into that kind of rejection?

Most would get what I call “Jonah-itis”. This is when God says, “Go east,” and Jonah decides to goes west. Most would go the opposite direction, but not Paul.  He walked right back into the arms of the ones that hurt and rejected him.

Paul’s reasoning for going back is not mentioned in the Word of God, but I likePaul Holding Coats to believe that he saw himself in the crowd that threw the rocks with such hate.  Could it be that God reminded Paul of the day when he endorsed and stood by guarding the coats of the ones that did the exact same thing to a righteous man named Stephen? I’m sure that Paul would never forget Stephen’s last words, “Lord, lay not this sin to their charge.” Not many would forget something like that!

Paul understood what God had brought him out of and also to where God had brought him. That was the reason that Paul went back into Lystra! He realized that his calling was far greater than himself, so He was willing to walk back into pain, rejection and ridicule in order to find someone just like himself!

Paul StonedQuestion: How many times have you given up on someone because they rejected you? I can truly say I have; but then again I can honestly admit that I have, at one time or another rejected the ones that tried to help me.  If we are ever going to have true apostolic revival, then we need to be willing to help a world that hates and rejects the Church! We need to get past the hurt and rejection that we have experienced in times past.

Paul gets stoned in Lystra in Acts 14:19, goes back to preach at Lystra in Acts 14:21, and in Acts 16 Paul finds a disciple by the name of Timothy in a place called Lystra.  It all happened because Paul wanted to find someone like himself. He wanted someone to carry on the Gospel when he was gone.  I pray in these last days that we build churches to carry this truth into the entire world after we are long gone.

This message epitomizes the purpose of RBD…to go into the world and connect with those who were waiting for someone to come and reach them! Thank you Pastor Hill for being willing to share this amazing message!
