Douglas Elkins, Regional Coordinator RBD North America
Douglas Elkins is a fifth generation Apostolic who brings a wide array of experience to his current responsibility as Regional Director for Revival By Design, North America.
Douglas has also served in a variety of ministry responsibilities, beginning as a Youth Pastor. He has over 20 years of pulpit ministry experience, serving in the capacities of Assistant Pastor, Senior Pastor, Evangelist and also Missionary. He also served the Missouri District as Foreign Missions Director. His secular work experience includes such titles as small business owner, seven years in retail management, as well 15 years with the Federal Aviation Administration, where he served as an Air Traffic Controller, eight of those years being in a management level.
It was during his time as an Associate in Missions to the Baltic States that Douglas was privileged to be able to work with Missionary Mark Shutes and they began to put together the structure and framework for RBD.
While working in the country of Latvia, Doug, along with his wife of 37 years, Nannette, worked in the trenches as the prototype for RBD was put into place in a country that was practically experiencing Pentecost for the very first time. They served as Gatherers, Captains, Sectional Coordinators and also started one of the first two House Churches in the capital city of Riga. Now two of their very first converts (who he returned to Riga last to marry in August, 2012) are now pastoring their very own House Church!
Since their return to the States in the Spring of 2012, Doug has worked diligently to bring RBD to North America. He has brought his ministry experience, as well as his expertise in the workings of RBD, to churches across the United States and Canada. In addition to his responsibilities as Regional Coordinator, Douglas also serves on the Executive Committee as the Director of Education for RBD Global.
Doug and Nannette are the proud parents of three sons and a daughter-in-law, who are all active in various aspects of church ministry. Their miracle grandbaby, Norah Jayne, made her appearance in April, 2016. Hashtag? #poppyandnangobroke They currently base out of Murfreesboro, TN.
